Hollow Knight: Silksong is Team Cherry's sequel to 2017's Hollow Knight, released September 4, 2025 on PC, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, Xbox (Game Pass), PS4, and PS5 after more than six years of anticipation since its 2019 announcement. The Metroidvania follows Hornet, the princess-protector of Hallownest from the first game, as she explores the new haunted kingdom of Pharloom, ruled by silk and song, across a map Team Cherry has said is bigger than the original with roughly 200 enemy types and 40 boss encounters.
