Confirmed information
Splatoon Raiders is a single-player-focused spin-off in Nintendo's Splatoon series, developed by Nintendo EPD and released July 23, 2026 exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2. Players create an Inkling or Octoling cast as a mechanic, joining Deep Cut — Shiver, Frye and Big Man from Splatoon 3 — to explore the Spirhalite Islands, hunting treasure and battling Salmonids. It drops Turf War entirely in favour of a story-driven loot chase, with four-player co-op (local or online) that scales difficulty by player count.

Raiders replaces Splatoon's competitive multiplayer core with exploration, puzzle-solving, combat and resource gathering across the Spirhalite Islands, built around a weapon upgrade system, a home base, and extensive player customisation. Reviews landed at 81 on Metacritic and 80 on OpenCritic — level with the three mainline entries — with IGN and Nintendo Life both scoring it 9/10, though critics noted boss fights lean more on damage sponges than puzzle design.
Digital is $49.99 and physical $59.99, with no Deluxe edition, no Collector's Edition and no season pass — notably unusual for a 2026 first-party release. Three Raiders-specific Deep Cut amiibo (Shiver, Frye, Big Man) launched alongside the game, each unlocking outfit options for the Mechanic, plus a themed Joy-Con 2 pair at $99.99.
