When does CONTROL Resonant release?
September 24, 2026
Confirmed information
CONTROL Resonant is Remedy Entertainment's sequel to 2019's Control, releasing September 24, 2026. It swaps protagonists and genres: instead of Jesse Faden's gunplay-focused adventure through the claustrophobic Oldest House, players now control her brother Dylan Faden in a fast-paced action-RPG set across an open-ended, warped reimagining of Manhattan, wielding a shapeshifting melee weapon called the Aberrant.

PC, PS5, Xbox
Dylan fights primarily with melee combat and supernatural abilities rather than Jesse's guns, centered on the Aberrant — a shapeshifting weapon — and traversal through Gravity Anomalies, zones where normal physics no longer apply.
Remedy has confirmed New Game Plus carries over Aberrant upgrades, health and resource improvements, unlocked combat abilities, talents, and artifacts — though traversal abilities stay tied to story progression and do not carry over, since a fresh playthrough is built around re-discovering how the world behaves.
