Musashi fights using intense, duel-focused melee combat centered on a special Oni Gauntlet that grants superhuman attacks and blocks; the demo showcased a boss fight against rival swordsman Sasaki Ganryu, one of Musashi's real historical rivals reimagined within the game's dark fantasy setting.
Capcom originally set the release for September 25, 2026, then moved it up to September 4, 2026 in response to positive feedback from the public demo, though the Windows version was noted to arrive slightly later than the console releases.
