Confirmed information
Grand Theft Auto VI is Rockstar Games' long-awaited next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series, releasing November 19, 2026 exclusively on PlayStation 5 (including PS5 Pro) and Xbox Series X/S — with no PC version at launch and no Nintendo Switch 2 release planned. Set in the fictional state of Leonida and its Vice City, it follows criminal duo Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval in what Take-Two has built its entire Fiscal 2027 guidance around.

GTA 6 was originally targeted for a Fall 2025 window, pushed to May 26, 2026, then moved again to November 19, 2026 — a six-month slip Rockstar attributed to securing "the level of polish you have come to expect." Take-Two reaffirmed the November date at its May 21, 2026 earnings call, and no further delay has been announced.
Rockstar opened pre-orders on June 25, 2026 with a Standard Edition at $79.99 and an Ultimate Edition at $99.99 (adding premium in-game vehicles). Standard buyers can upgrade to Ultimate after launch, digital preload begins November 12 (one week before release), and Rockstar has confirmed the single-player campaign is playable offline. Retail copies contain a download code rather than a disc.
