Guide coverage

The Sanity System — Your Squad Is the Threat

The Mound's defining mechanic is a sanity meter that degrades over each expedition and warps each player's perception independently, producing visual and auditory hallucinations. Because corruption is per-player, teammates can become genuinely indistinguishable from monsters — not through hidden-role rules, but because you can no longer trust what you see and hear. Fallen adventurers can also become corrupted and turn on the party.

Expedition Loop & Proximity Voice

Runs start aboard your galleon, where the team selects a contract and loads out weapons and equipment before heading into the jungle. Proximity voice chat is central to the design — staying close, moving quietly and conserving resources are the keys to completing contracts and extracting alive. Eight playable characters are planned, with four available at launch.
