Confirmed information
The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu is a first-person cooperative horror game from ACE Team (Zeno Clash, Clash: Artifacts of Chaos), published by Nacon and released July 15, 2026 on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S with full cross-play. Loosely inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's novella The Mound, it casts 1–4 players as Conquistador-era treasure hunters exploring a cursed 16th-century South American jungle in search of a legendary underground city.

The Mound's defining mechanic is a sanity meter that degrades over each expedition and warps each player's perception independently, producing visual and auditory hallucinations. Because corruption is per-player, teammates can become genuinely indistinguishable from monsters — not through hidden-role rules, but because you can no longer trust what you see and hear. Fallen adventurers can also become corrupted and turn on the party.
Runs start aboard your galleon, where the team selects a contract and loads out weapons and equipment before heading into the jungle. Proximity voice chat is central to the design — staying close, moving quietly and conserving resources are the keys to completing contracts and extracting alive. Eight playable characters are planned, with four available at launch.
