Echoes of Aincrad is a Sword Art Online action RPG developed by Game Studio Inc. and published by Bandai Namco, released July 9–10, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Unlike most prior Sword Art Online games, it drops the player into the original death-game premise as a fully customizable, original protagonist rather than Kirito, tasked with surviving a permanent Death Game mode as they climb the floating castle of Aincrad's first two floors alongside returning characters like Argo, Kirito, and Asuna.
