The Bustling World (烽火与炊烟) is an ambitious open-world sandbox RPG from Chengdu-based indie studio FireWo Games, published by Lightning Games, set in a fictional ancient China and in development for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. First announced in December 2023, it still has no confirmed release date. The pitch is near-total freedom: settle down and run a shop, workshop, inn or pharmacy; farm quietly; go adventuring; turn to crime; or raise an army, stabilise a regime and found your own kingdom.

The Bustling World blends isometric RPG exploration with life-sim and strategy layers — farming, crafting, building, business management, diplomacy and warfare all coexist in one open world of cities, settlements and countryside.
